How to Mix Flavors to Create the Perfect Combination

Mixing flavors is a snazzy way to find a new combination that will be a staple in your baking. Some flavors are more common than others.

Salty and sweet is a perfect example of this (we’re obsessed with this combination) that is classic, common, and they pair perfectly together. But that’s not your only option!

A combination one would not expect to be delicious, for instance, is dipping french fries into a milkshake. Sometimes you just have to experiment with different flavors to see what works, as well as what might not.

Valentine’s Day has just passed, so another great combination we’ve got on our minds is fruit and chocolate. Strawberries and chocolate are a tried and true combination, but raspberries, cranberries, and blueberries can also be perfectly paired with chocolate.

Some pairings are typically associated with holidays or specific seasons, but they can be enjoyed any

time of the year! Chocolate and peppermint are the perfect pair for any holiday festivities, pumpkin and cinnamon are perfect for fall, and chocolate and marshmallows are associated with S’mores for the warmer seasons or chilly nights in the fall.

If you’re looking for a savory touch to any of your bakery treats, adding some flakey salt is the perfect way to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to your baking! There are plenty of different food combinations, and we urge you to try some uncommon combinations next time you’re feeling creative. You’ll never know what might be delicious together!
